About Mettler Cotton Thread

Mettler Silk-Finish cotton thread is made from 100% long staple Egyptian cotton fibers. It is exceptionally colorfast with a silky finish. It is available in four thicknesses, also known as weights. It is mercerized to increase thread strength, improve needle heat resistance, and reduce shrinkage. All weights are suitable for quilting and sewing with cotton thread, and some sizes are suitable for cotton thread embroidery.

Cotton Thread Weights

The lower the thread weight number, the thicker the thread. From thickest to thinnest, Mettler Silk-Finish cotton thread is available in 28 Weight, 40 Weight, 50 Weight, and 60 Weight. The widest color selection is in 50 Weight.
